It’s been a while since I played table top wargames. I’ve been busy with my full-time job and doing extra chores during my free time has made my life rather dull. The saying “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” never meant anything to me until now when I realized it indeed holds something to think about. I have always been a gaming enthusiast, playing games of all sorts from word games to war games.

Today, I got my very first day off from work, I’ve decided to stay away from my computer and play a traditional game of Warhammer 40K. Some friends are coming over and I’m excited to start. While I’m waiting let me share with you what I can about this game. First of all I like it because players can make their own rules. It’s a game of strategy for two or more players. Miniature figures such as creatures, warriors, and vehicles are placed on top of a table. Each player sets up his own army like Space Wolves which he can personalize by painting it himself which makes the game more interesting. There are players though who prefer not to use Space Wolves because they don’t like to paint fur. However, thinking of the role that Space Wolves can do in the game is enough to change ones mind.

Warhammer 40k Space Wolves are one of the sets of marines that you can choose for defense in this game. Among them they are the best choice if you want a close combat with the enemy. Every move in this game involves skill and tactics plus a sharp mind is developed while playing. Aside from Warhammer Space Wolves, there are other space marines to pick which all depends on the kind of battle or setup you want to establish.

Just like any other game, we have take it seriously while we’re at it but it any case it pays to remember that when it’s done it was just all for fun.  Today, I’m determined to have my fill of war games with my friends. As it’s been a while since I last played this game, it would be fun getting familiar with it all over again.
